Message Tube and Fin are more efficient than bar and plate. but Bar and plate are more durable against debris.

The aerodynamics of tube and fin are better than bar/plate.

Tube and fin are more efficient in terms of cooling potential and also as the size of the core increases, the efficiency gets magnified.

Bar and plate have slightly less pressure drop than tube and fin.

Even though this doesn't mean much, I prefer the look of tube and fin vs. Bar/plate. I have a big FMIC, so it shows.. And I also polished the tubes of my FMIC so it looks a little nicer.

I have been toying around with the idea of keeping the tube areas polished but "painting" the fins with the coating made specifically to increase cooling in intercoolers.

I have a 3row FMIC and the first setup I got to actually drive the vehicle was with the GT28R turbos with my modified inlet piping and true dual MAF setup. I basically had "no lag".. on a street setting.. the lag was so minimal, I could basically say it was non-existant. Granted it was not as responsive as stock turbos with full 3" turbo back exhaust setup.. but that really had no lag.. As soon as you got on it.. it would be pulling fully at that time.

I almost miss the feeling of a full stage 3 with down pipes and test pipes Z.. how you can use all the gears and rape fully through each one, making it a blast to drive.

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
